The asteroid belt lies between mars and jupider. It's small pieces of rocks are made of minerals similer to those that made rocky planets.

It has more than 7,000 asteroids. It is more tan 914 kl across. Some of the asteroids in it are metal

They think part of the asteroid belt fell when dinosours existed. It is over 60 miles long
